ABOUT SHAMBHALA!

Shambhala in Your Heart is 10 days of Camping, Music, Art, and Hotsprings! 2019 had over 3400 people from over 50 countries. Come celebrate Love, Peace, and Music with us!

We welcome live Thai, Japanese, and International musicians to come perform on our stages. We also welcome Fire dancers, Acro Yogis, and all other visual or performance Artists.
During the day, Yoga and other healing and Arts workshops will be offered for donation.
Vendors are also welcome to sell handmade art, goods, and food*.
(*Food vendors need prior approval)
The main stage will be open from 18:00-21:30.
At 22:00 the sound system will be shut down and jamming sessions around bonfires will be enjoyed into late night.

GENERAL FESTIVAL DETAILS:
1 day general admission ticket : 300 baht　　10 day general admission ticket special price: 1500 baht
*Children 15 or below: FREE
*All tickets sold at the door. No pre-sales.:
General Admission tickets include:
-Admission to the festival

-Free Camping (Tent not included) Please prepare to sleep in tents or rent at a local guesthouse.
(*We do not have dormitories this year.  There will be one or two TIPIS that people can sleep in at night. (limited space). 
- right to Vend or open handicraft shops/booths *in specially marked areas only*. Shop/Booth locations are first come first serve. (*food or drink vendors must be pre-approved by Chiangdao Heart)
- ability to organize' workshops**.　(**workshop spaces and times limited, please sign up when you arrive)

WHAT TO BRING:
-Tents and sleeping bags.
We WILL RENT: Blankets and Straw
Some tents will be rented but they sell out fast.
*There are tents and sleeping mats sold in the town. (About 3-4km)
This is a camping festival so bring whatever else you usually bring camping. Lights (torches), warm clothes (it gets cold at night), bathing suit, towel, shampoo/tooth brush/soap/ etc (preferably organic so as not to pollute the water supply or river), your own cup, plate, utensils (you can borrow these but it is preferable if you bring your own), pocket knife, string for laundry, etc.... If you are sensitive to noise you might also want to bring ear plugs for sleeping at night. dogs (socialized) are welcome as long as they are trained to behave. Children are also welcome. (Children get free entrance) If you are a musician please also bring your instruments, if you are an artist feel free to bring your art supplies or things to make/sell.

from Chiangmai by BUS:
Take public bus to Chiang Dao from Chang Phuak Bus station
leaves every 30 minutes between 5:30am until 19:30 (~40 bhat)
(74km, takes about 1.5-2 hours)
-From Chiang Dao Bus Station take Red Tuktuk to Chiang Dao Farm Stay (~150 bhat) (6km, about 10 minutes)

Important!!!
1. We check passports so please bring them. We legally need to record your information for immigration.
2. We supply Drinking Water Refill Stations and Washing Stations for dishes/cups/etc.

-your personal reusable tableware
please Do NOT bring:
-Non-compostable (plastic/foam/glass) disposable bottles/tableware.
-outside food or drinks in non-compostable disposable containers.
-alcohol in glass bottles (may break and hurt people)
*Please buy your food and drinks at the festival and support our vendors who we also asked to use reusable or compostable tableware.
*Also, please prepare a bag to take your big trash, bottles, etc home with you to help us manage the garbage.
3. CLOTHING DONATION:♥ We will be collecting clothing to donate to local villages and charities. Please bring clothing that you no longer need. Please make sure the clothing is clean, not ripped, and in good condition.

OTHER INFO:
You can arrive anytime on the 14th. (Please do not arrive on the 13th) We will kick everyone out before Noon and you will buy your tickets then. (We will be checking tickets every day so please respect the festival and do not sneak in without purchasing a ticket.)
The last night of music is on the 23rd
Please prepare to leave and go home on morning of the 24th. Please DO NOT plan to stay overnight on the 24th (This caused a lot of trouble last year).
We will be calling TukTuks that you can share to go to Chiangmai and possibly Pai.
The main stage will be open from 18:00-21:30.
At 22:00 the sound system will be shut down and jamming sessions around bonfires will be enjoyed into late night but please do NOT make loud noises after 11pm and respect the neighbors.

Please read our concept

Shambhala In Your Heart hopes to create a space where Thai,Japanese, Korean,Chinese and international travelers can enjoy sharing music and art together in nature. Our favorite part of this festival is how so many artists come together, make friends, and jam together around campfires or while relaxing on rocks or grass .

We hope that all attendees, especially our musicians, can enjoy this special creative and collaborative atmosphere.

We also have a big and small stage. The big stage was added as a platform where musicians who came to enjoy our festival could share their art with the rest of the attendees with great sound. Because of increased demand we now pre-book the artists that perform on the big stage.

We hope that all artists that apply to perform on our big stage understand our concept and come to enjoy our festival, with their performance on the stage as a bonus.
